Happy Wedding Day

Hertford Registry Office was the venue at this Mandy & Peters recent wedding! The arches made for a stunning backdrop for the family shots and the happy couple were willing to do anything to capture the most perfect shots. The dress, from Birdcage Bridal Boutique, was absolutely gorgeous and added to the timeless and romantic feel of the day. Mandys makeup was perfect and considering what a hot day it was stayed well in tact thanks to Faces by Farah The groom looked absolutely dapper in his Moss Bros Suit.

As a Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer, I couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out. The hot weather made for a slightly challenging shoot, but the couple’s joy and energy made it all worthwhile. The arches at Hertford Registry Office made for some cool shade on a very hot day.

During the portrait session, the couple didn’t hesitate to try different poses and locations – they were just so happy to be in the moment together, which made taking their photos such as amazing experience. It was clear that capturing those special moments and memories was important to them, and I am honored to have been a part of it.

Overall, it was a day full of love, happiness, and perfect moments. Helen was absolutely fantastic from start to finish, with all her industry knowledge she was able to give us some much needed direction resulting in some absolutely amazing photos. Helen really provided us with a personal experience and felt more like a friend than our photographer! She would definitely go the extra mile for the perfect photo and has an amazing way of rounding people up for their shots. History

Hertford Registry Office was designed by Charles Holloway James and Stephen Rowland Pierce. The Neo-Georgian style with Scandinavian elements made a building that stood out amongst other constructions of its time. Built and completed in 1939 by C. Miskin & Son of St Albans. Shire Hall in Hertford, the original County Hall, was situated in an area which lacked any space for any expansion, hence the building of the current County Hall situation on the edge of Hertford on Pegs Lane.

The arches make a wonderful backdrop for any photograph and the Stags (Harts) at the front of the building, give a real sense of authority. You will find the Registry Office to the right of the building (if you are face on). It has a hidden garden to the right of it that you are unable to see from the front. Hertford Registry Office is used to Births, Deaths and Marriages within the County of Hertfordshire.
