Being a Fanhams Hall Wedding Photographer, I was absolutely delighted that Adele & Greg invited me to shoot their wedding.  This beautiful, historic venue lies just 1.5km from the centre of Ware & only 45 minutes from Central London.  Set in 27 acres, this awe-inspiring Jacobean mansion makes the most perfect venue for a truly romantic wedding.

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT FANHAMS HALL

Being a Hertfordshire wedding photographer, I love shooting at Fanhams Hall and was spoilt for choice with the many fabulous areas in which to take photos that create life lasting memories.

Adele looked so elegant in her breathtaking, full length wedding dress & Greg looked dapper in his sharp suit.  The bridesmaids both wore light coffee colour dresses which gave an elegant and stunning look.  The groomsmen wore suits that tied in beautifully with Gregs.

With their ceremony outside and their reception in the Great Hall, Fanhams Hall was an absolutely perfect venue for their special day.  Fanhams Hall is a Jacobean mansion full of historical beauty. I personally love the grandeur of the oak panelled walls throughout.  Every aspect of the house & garden create the most perfect setting for your wedding photos. I love to combine traditional with documentary photography, which I feel creates a well rounded selection of photos that will ensure the memories of your special day will be remembered in your hearts forever.

No additional travel costs for weddings at this beautiful venue.

KIND WORDS FROM THE BRIDE & GROOM

Wonderful experience and brilliant photos ….

From the first time we met Helen at a Wedding fair we knew that she was the ideal photographer for us, such a warm and friendly person. We met at our venue a week before our wedding, this was brilliant as it gave us an idea what to expect on our big day from a photography viewpoint and also walk around the grounds to talk about possible shots and ideas. On the morning of our wedding we had an issue with a supplier but Helen was brilliant so supportive and caring. During the day she was fun to be with and the shots she could are breathtaking, Helen started the day as our wedding photographer but left as Helen our friend the wedding photographer, i could not recommend her high enough.

Greg & Adele

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Adele & Greg on their wedding day at Fanhams Hall.  I was so honoured to capture their big day for them & look forward to being a Fanhams Hall Wedding Photographer again soon.

Here is a preview of some photos of their special day.

PERFECT HISTORIC VENUE

This country house that dates back to the 1400’s, is adorned with both formal gardens and an extensive informal Japanese garden.  The quaint Japanese Teahouse, coupled with the bridges over the lake are really something to fall in love with.

THE GARDENS

The Jacobean style mansion is situated on a terrace overlooking the most beautiful grounds.  With steps leading down to the fountain situated in the centre of the gardens, the sound of running water and the smell of the flowers are simply magical.  You are transported to a different world full of love, romance and nature.

THE JACOBEAN MANSION

Your exquisite Fanhams Hall experience begins as you enter through the winding tree-lined driveway.  The 27 acres of grounds that greet you on arrival, coupled with the Jacobean Mansion is truly magical.  Stepping through the two storey historic gatehouse into the courtyard, you are met with the wonderful entrance to the historic Fanhams Hall.  This Grarde II listed building is now a hotel & events venue run by the Exclusive Group and is the most perfect place for a romantic & timeless wedding. The oak panelled Long Gallery gives the most amazing long aisle which to walk down and yet still has a feeling of being warm & intimate as it adorns your guests.  A real touch of grandeur as the bride glides through the many onlookers.

THE GREAT HALL

The Great Hall with its enormous & stunning Jacobean fireplace makes for a great backdrop for the top table.  With the Minstrels Gallery, situated above the Great Hall, makes a perfect venue for capturing shots of the whole bridal party enjoying their wedding breakfast. The Jacobean Great Hall seats 120 for the wedding breakfast and furthermore accommodates 170 for the evening reception.  Its is also licensed for ceremonies, therefore the perfect room for every aspect of your wedding.

As you leave the Great Hall, through the oak and leaded glass windowed doors and turn right, you are met with a beautifully carved oak staircase, which is breathtakingly regal and when watching the couple glide up or down, its like watching lord and lady of the manor. The preparation rooms for both the bride & groom and the suites are a photographers dream.  Oak panelled walls & huge stain glass windows create the most perfect setting.

CEREMONIES

From the licensed Grade II Japanese Teahouse erected in 1900 to the Long Gallery, your ceremony will be what dreams are made of.  The Gazebo on the lawn, in front of the house, is also an option for that romantic outside ceremony. For a more contemporary feel, The Lakeside Pavillion caters for 130 guests for the wedding breakfast & 200 for the evening reception. With many choices, this Jacobean Mansion, coupled with its 27 acre stunning grounds make Fanhams Hall the perfect venue for Wedding Photography.

WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF

Fanhams Hall is a sought-after Hertfordshire wedding venue, which combines historic architecture with comtempory styling.  Dressed to impress, the oak panelled Long Room on the second floor, with its high-ornate ceiling gives a feel of granduer as the bride glides down the aisle.
